Repainting bridges and steel structures means stripping thick, multi-coat systems and leaving an anchor profile that meets the coating spec.
Zafa 10/20 is made for that work, and it’s recycled in Georgia from solar panel and CRT glass.
Recommended grades
10/20 for thick coatings, mill scale and heavy rust;
20/40 for maintenance repainting and touch-up.
Bridge Girders & Trusses
Remove deteriorated coatings and corrosion from suitable steel girders and truss members as required by the project specification. Confirm the achieved surface profile with trial blasting.
Connections, Rivets & Welds
Complex bolts, rivets, welds and tight corners require careful nozzle access and verification of coating removal. Use a compatible media grade and avoid damaging the underlying steel.
Structural Steel Fabrication
Evaluate abrasive grades for preparing fabricated beams, columns and plates before protective coating. Review the coating manufacturer’s profile and cleanliness requirements.
